Rune Ottosen (1950)
graduated in journalism in 1973 ( Rune
Ottosen has together with professor Stig Arne Nohrstedt edited a comparative
international study of the Gulf Conflict coverage in several countries. The
volume is titled "Journalism and the New World Order. Gulf War,
National News Discourse and Globalization". Together with Stig A.
Nohrstedet he in 2004 published Rune
Ottosen is deputy leader in the Norwegian Association of Press-and Media
History and was president of The Norwegian Non-fiction Writers and
Translator Association 2001-2005. He is also a member of TRANSCEND - a Peace and Development
Network and is involved in a group working with Peace journalism in Toda
Institute. He has
been invited as guest lecturer to a number of Universities in Norway, Sweden,
Denmark, Belgium, Estonia, USA and South Africa, Nepal and Pakistan. Publications
