Brief biography

In 1999, I completed my dr.philos. degree at The University of Oslo, on the Russian journalist, editor and literary critic A. Voronskij, a key figure in journalism and literary debates in Soviet Russia in the 1920s.

In 2000, I joined Oslo University College, Faculty of journalism, library and information science as Associate Professor. My teaching and research are in Media & communication studies and in journalism, and I am I also faculty R&D co-ordinator.

Currently, I am heading "GlobeReach", a comparative TV news project with researchers from Norway, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal. In October 2010, I'm invited speaker on "Ethics of Information" at the Ibersid Conference, University of Zaragoza, Spain.

Prior to joining OUC, I had worked more than 20 years in science and research administration, in business and in the government.
