Hi!
My name is Fredrik Varfjell and I'm 22 years old. I grow up on an island in the southeast part of Norway, outside a town called Fredrikstad. I have been taking picture for about three years and have work as a freelancer for different newspapers in Norway. I like to photograph news, concerts and make picture stories. When not taking picture I spend a lot of time making music with my band. We are playing rockmusic inspired by everything from The Rolling Stones to more modern rock and punk.

Shark fishing
Shark fin soup is a popular delicacy, and it's eaten in Chinese restaurants all over the world. Today millions of sharks are killed each year form overfishing and trade. For the poor fishers along the coast, a shark will give them the good earnings. There has been a decline among sharks in the recent years. If the sharks disappear form the sea it will have enormous consequence for the oceanic ecosystems. The top predator of the ocean seems to have a great problem. I want to take part in the shark fishing and join one of the trawlers.
