Resources for the Teaching of English

Two university college lecturers, Bjørn Sørheim at the University College of Sogndal and Ragnhild Lund at the University College of Vestfold, have collected songs for use in the English classroom. They have collected lyrics and the music for the songs and made them available free of charge. In the original framework there are also ideas for use in the classroom at this address. There is also a CD at ca NOK 200 to be obtained from Bjørn Sørheim.

  You can search for words and phrases in a collection of 100 million words of British English text. Your search will then return up to 50 occurrences on your screen. This is a very useful tool for checking collocations, word partnerships, to find out whether two words really go together.
