My name is Knut Andersen. I´m a teacher of natural sciences at
Oslo University College - faculty of educational studies.

Originally I´m a biologist - with a masters degree in population dynamics of freshwater fishes.  But most of my time I´ve worked as a teacher in the Norwegian parallel to a secondary school "ungdomsskolen"  from seventh to ninth grade. As a teacher I caught special interest in integrating natural sciences in the teaching of cross-curricular subjects, mainly by use of different approches to project-teaching. Thus I was given the pleasure of teaching all subjects in norwegian secondary school except gymnastics. I also served several years as the headmaster´s assistant. The particular school  I was working at - "Ringstabekk"  holds some international reputation for being fairly advanced in adapting and developing modern teaching methods such as Story-Line and project working.

I am a co-author of several text-books of natural sciences for grades five to ten in the norwegian school system.

Finally for the last six years i hav been working at the college; doing teachers training. I also cooperates with the staff at a secondary school outside Oslo; functioning as a consultant of school development.

Outside work I sing 1st base in a men´s quire:
"Sangselskabet Guldbergs Akademiske Kor (G.A.K.)"
wich has a remote connection to the University of Oslo.
